Connect ErzyCall to ChatGPT and Claude. No technical skill needed.
ChatGPT
Custom connectors in ChatGPT are called Apps, and they live in the Plugins area. Setup is done in a web browser — the mobile apps can't add connectors.
Custom apps require Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu — the Free tier can't add them. On Business/Enterprise/Edu an admin must first enable custom connectors at Workspace Settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data.
OpenAI's documentation is inconsistent about whether Plus and Pro accounts get full write access or read-only access to custom apps. If ErzyCall connects but refuses to place a call on a personal plan, that's the limitation — a Business or Enterprise workspace is the reliable route for write actions.
Step by step
- Turn on Developer mode. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and switch Developer mode on. (Personal accounts only — on a workspace, your admin does this.)
- Open the plugin creation page. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and click the + at the top right. A New Plugin dialog opens.
- Fill in the form.
- Icon — optional. PNG, 256×256 or larger, max 10 KB.

- Leave Advanced OAuth settings untouched.
- Acknowledge the risk notice. Tick "I understand and want to continue." ChatGPT shows this for every custom MCP server.
- Click Create. A card appears: "Add ErzyCall to ChatGPT." Click Sign in with ErzyCall.
- Approve the connection. An ErzyCall page opens showing Connect your ErzyCall organization, your selected organization, and the requested permissions. Click Connect.
- Done. The plugin page now shows Connection: ErzyCall, the URL, and Authorization supported: OAuth.
Using it in a chat
- Start a new chat and click the + next to the message box.
- Choose Developer mode, then tick ErzyCall for this conversation.
- Type a request, e.g. "Could you make a test call to Artur Temirov?"
- ChatGPT proposes the call — contact, from-number, case/script, and the exact opening message — and waits. Reply confirm.
- A permission card appears: "Allow ChatGPT to use ErzyCall?" Choose Allow once, or Always allow.
- After the call ends, ask "how did it go?" — ErzyCall returns duration, end reason, transcript summary, and a link to the audio.
Permission behaviour. The default mode is Allow low-risk actions: reads happen silently, anything that places a call or sends a message asks first. Change it under the plugin's Permissions row, or globally at Settings → Apps → App Preferences. An "always allow" choice only applies to the current conversation.
Known limits. Custom apps work in normal chat and in Deep research (read-only there). They do not work in Agent mode or Voice mode, and not on mobile.
Claude
Works on claude.ai in the browser, in the Claude desktop app, and in Cowork — add it once and it appears everywhere.
Personal accounts (Free, Pro, Max)
- Open claude.ai/customize/connectors — or in the app, Settings → Connectors.
- Click the + next to Connectors, then Add custom connector.

- Click Connect, sign in to ErzyCall, pick your organization, and approve the permissions.
Free accounts are limited to one custom connector total.
Team & Enterprise
- An Owner goes to Organization settings → Connectors.
- Click Add, hover Custom, choose Web.
- Enter the URL above and click Add.
- Every member then opens Settings → Connectors, finds ErzyCall, and clicks Connect to sign in with their own account.
Using it in a chat
- Click the + at the bottom-left of the message box, or type /.
- Hover Connectors and toggle ErzyCall on for this conversation.
- Ask away: "Show me today's calls", "Send Maria a WhatsApp confirming Friday 10am".
Tune the prompts. Go to Settings → Connectors → ErzyCall → Tool permissions to set each action to Always allow, Needs approval, or Blocked. A sensible default: allow all list_* and get_* actions, require approval for create_call and send_whatsapp_message.
Two things that surprise people. You can't edit a connector after adding it — remove it and add it again. And in Research mode Claude calls connector tools automatically without asking, so block or restrict write actions before running Research.
